"Já não é novidade para ninguém. A discussão sobre a legalização do consumo de drogas leves parece que já atingiu o seu pico e a opinião pública está mais focalizada para outros assuntos que dominam a sociedade. O debate desapareceu mas o problema mantém-se. As opiniões dividem-se e existe uma necessidade de informar os interessados, através de uma escrita directa e sem rodeios.

A Revista Cânhamo nasceu sensivelmente há um ano, com o objectivo de colmatar a falta de informação sobre um assunto “tabu” na nossa sociedade.

Tendo algumas caras conhecidas como “porta-estandarte” da publicação e da luta (por exemplo Miguel Guedes dos Blind Zero que é o director-adjunto), a Cânhamo tem tentado abrir algumas consciências através de um jornalismo factual e informativo.

Para além das notícias/artigos sobre os desenvolvimentos medicinais e terapêuticos relacionados com a utilização de algumas substâncias (entre as quais a canábis), podemos encontrar informações diversas sobre muitas outras substâncias. Assim, desfolhando a Cânhamo podem encontrar reportagens sobre as diferentes espécies canábicas, sobre a história e produção da cocaína e do ópio, bem como entrevistas a activistas e pessoas ligadas ao movimento de legalização das drogas.

Toda esta informação encontra-se disponível através de uma impressão bem cuidada e de qualidade, onde a fotografia tem um papel muito importante. Quem se interessa por este tema vai ficar maravilhado com algumas das fotografias que a revista apresenta, algumas delas em forma de poster central.

A revista foi pensada como bimensal, mas devido ao mercado “em crise” de todo o género de publicações, passou a trimestral. Podem encontrá-la em muitas papelarias/livrarias espalhadas por todo o país, bem como no web site – www.canhamo.net.

Para percebermos um pouco mais o que motivou a existência deste tipo de publicação em Portugal, colocamos algumas perguntas ao director da Cânhamo, Ricardo da Silva, que nos falou desse e de outros assuntos bem mais delicados, que uma revista deste género pode levantar."

troy pierce’s mix comes across as a calm, minimal version, sprucing up ellen’s elechtech from a straightforward, hypnotic angle. pierce turns it into a neat dance floor track. all you wanna do is nod your head to the beat to forget where you are. later on, you might ask yourself what that name on your door is supposed to mean. and of course, the minus-bpitch control connection is a welcome revival of the old detroit-berlin axis. the original version is the best example for what ms. allien has always associated with hypnotich elechtech: straight and clear lines with few distractions and discreetly placed vocals make it so you can (and must) dance with your eyes shut and your ears wide open.
